- The government has amended this manual in 2018, in which it will be mandatory to serve at least 10 years in the post of forest guard for promotion to the post of Forester.
- Now, after question are raised the President of the Forest Reserve Association / Forest Beat Officers Association has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the release issued on 18 December 2019 for the direct recruitment to the posts of Van Daroga.
- The petition also sought to abolish the 10-year minimum service obligation as Forest Guard for promotion to the rank of Van Daroga.
So when will the Van Daroga Recruitment again start?
Soon, the recruitment will start as soon as the manual for Van Daroga Bharti changes. After hearing the sides, the High Court’s single bench stayed the release issued on 18 December 2019 and directed the government to file the reply in three weeks. All candidates have to remain continuous in preparing for the exam.
